"Pucked" was my first hockey romance book and it took me longer than it normally does to read a book to finish it. It's not all entirely the book's fault, I did start it before Thanksgiving and with the holidays we were nonstop so my time was limited for my reading. But once I had some down time I wanted to finish the book to see if it was worth the extended reading time.

And was it worth it....meeehhhh. It was ok, fine, a decent read. The smut was enjoyable (not the smuttiest I have read but not the lamest either). The storyline was somewhat believable. I am not a hockey expert by any means so the events that took place within the hockey realm was outside my knowledge base so I used common sense to believe it could be an accurate depiction of the sport.

Character build up was lacking. I could have used more back story on the two main characters, Violet and Alex. I enjoy knowing their history more to how they are now within the story, it gives a better image to their personality.

A quirk that I did not agree with within the book is how Violet was "immature" in a lot of sexual situations, i.e. the superhero outfit for the MC (Monster Cock). Yes, you read that right. A scene where she dresses up his manhood as a cape crusader. I'm sorry but in reality a man would be pissed to wake up to his junk being decorated like a kid for Halloween. Plus if the MC is as beautiful as insinuated within the book, it would need no further decor to make it better. Just itself would win over everyone.

Overall, "Pucked" was mildly entertaining, with some good smut scenes and a few humorous parts. Would I read it again, no. Would I suggest it to someone else, if they were a hockey romance fan...yes. Otherwise, I would move on to another.
